William F. PfaffWilliam “Bill” Pfaff has spent the past 38 years in leadership roles in economic and business development and currently serves as the director for Sussex County Economic Development, serving the Sussex County Administration and Sussex County Council.
Prior to that he was director of the University of Delaware’s Small Business Development Center where he advised hundreds of successful small businesses in Kent and Sussex counties. Over the years, a number of his clients were recognized for business excellence through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Delaware office. In addition to owning a successful small business in Sussex County for 12 years, he also held positions at Johns Hopkins University, the Peabody Conservatory, and the Navy Annex at the U.S. Pentagon. He earned his degree in Business Administration from York College. Bill has provided countless hours of volunteer community service, having served on the Boards of Delaware Easter Seals in Sussex County, First State Community Loan Fund, Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and as a founding member of the Sussex Academy of Arts and Sciences, Inc. Bill and his wife, Sherry, reside in Sussex County. |
